Fat China on PBS Newshour

Posted: June 2nd, 2010 | No Comments »

Myself and my colleague Matthew Crabbe have a jointly-authored book out this summer called Fat China: How Expanding Waistlines are Changing a Nation. It’s a study using our data at our day jobs with Access Asia on China’s changing diet, the rise of urban obesity rates (particularly among kids) and the problems lifestyle diseases are now posing for the Chinese healthcare system. Not that much to do with this blog admittedly (though we have included some historical data on China’s changing diet) but maybe of interest – anyway PBS’s Newshour programme ran a piece featuring us and the book that they filmed during a recent trip to China and some may find it interesting – click here to see the video report.
