The search for the Northwest Passage is an integral part of the race to open the China trade. BBC Radio 4′s Excess Baggage discussed the history of the quest for the NW Passage with Glyn Williams of the University of London who’s got a new book out on the subject – Arctic Labyrinth: The Quest for the Northwest Passage.
